The photograph is a close up of a Jersey Barrier that I spotted in upstate NY. I was fascinated by the paint that had flaked off, the splotches and pock marks that only weather and time could create.

The middle of the window screen is filled with  rusty nails taken from old fence posts. (they were stuck in the white conductor things w/ barb wire, four of which are attached to the wood on the bottom third of the screen)

The wood was taken from an old ladder found in the woods.  I carried the ladder home and hammered off all of the steps, two of which are on this piece.
